Dear Ravenous Readers,
We want to thank you for being a part of our community. Without you, we would be little more than a ship lost at sea, a stream of words shouting into the void of the internet. So, thank you ♥
In six days, 2018 will arrive and with it, boundless opportunities to feed our love of literature. As the New Year arrives, the urge to shed old skin takes shape, and rather than fight it, we’re going with it.
Ravenous For Reads is getting a facelift!!
Right now, we’re speaking with a friend of mine who designs themes and pouring over unique theme templates online. In 2018, we want to be more than a blog that chatters about books; we want to be a community hub where you can get lost in book bliss.

The Forums:

In addition to a new theme, we’re adding a member forum for writers, where they can request beta readers, create critique groups, and get help with queries. Hopefully, we’ll also be able to add a directory for book bloggers, writers, and literary agents. In the future, we’d like to add a second forum for readers and bloggers, where we can all get together to discuss post ideas, blog tours, events, reading challenges, and even participate in book swaps.

BookTube & Podcast:

I (Ari) have been a BookTuber for almost a full year now, though I rarely bring my videos to Ravenous for Reads. In 2018, however, I want to fully bring my videos over, especially for those who enjoy visual content. Alongside the BookTube section, we’d like to add a podcast where we discuss upcoming authors, book talks, book-related events, and reviews. We’d love to invite other book bloggers to join in on the discussion.

Blogger Recognition:

Because our relationships with fellow book bloggers are valuable to us, we plan on dedicating a space to link to book bloggers who have inspired us with their passion and dedication to the book blogging community. If you know of a book blogger (including you!) who would love to be linked, please let us know in the comments.
We could go on and on about all of our ideas – that’s how passionate we are! For now, though, we want to know what YOU think about our 2018 plans.
As always, please share your own 2018 book goals 🙂 We’d love to hear them!
